YouTube keyword tool

Type a topic and see the phrases people actually search on YouTube, pulled from its own suggestions.

Real phrases from YouTube’s own search suggestions.

Every phrase this returns is one YouTube itself suggests when someone starts typing. Autocomplete is built from what people actually search, so every line on the list is real demand. Nothing here was assembled by bolting words together.

What you will not find here is a search volume column. Nobody outside Google has that figure for YouTube. The tools that display one are either estimating from Google Search data, which behaves very differently, or making it up. We show where each phrase ranks in the suggestions, which is a real signal of relative popularity and nothing more than that.

The questions filter is where most of the value sits. Someone typing a question has a specific problem and a strong reason to watch something that solves it, which is exactly the intent you want on a tutorial or explainer. Long-tail phrases are the other place to look: less competition, and far easier to rank for while your channel is still small.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the keywords come from?
YouTube’s own autocomplete, the list that drops down under the search box. Every phrase is something people genuinely type.
Why is there no search volume?
Because nobody outside Google has that number for YouTube. Tools that show one are estimating from Google Search data or inventing it. What we can show honestly is where a phrase ranks in the suggestions, which reflects relative popularity.
What should I do with the questions list?
Questions are the highest-intent phrases you will find. Someone typing one has a specific problem and will watch a video that solves it, so they make strong titles almost verbatim.
Is it really free?
Three searches before it asks for anything. One email unlocks it from then on, and no card is involved.
