Cinema camera

Also called: cine camera

The design priorities differ from a hybrid mirrorless: active cooling for hours of recording, built-in variable neutral density so exposure can be set without swapping filters, full-size audio inputs with real metering, timecode, and higher bitrate or raw internal codecs. Autofocus and portability are usually where they give ground. For most creators a hybrid does the job, and the honest reason to move up is a specific need such as unbroken multi-hour recording or matching footage with another camera on a crew. Owning one changes nothing about lighting or sound, which is where picture quality is actually decided.
