Dereverb
Also called: reverb removal, de-reverb, echo removal
Reverb baked into a take is the hardest audio fault to undo, because the reflections arrive at the same microphone as the voice and share its frequencies. Tools in iZotope RX, Adobe's speech enhancement and most modern editors now do a respectable job of it, using models trained on clean speech. Push them hard and the voice goes thin, watery or robotic, which sounds worse than the room ever did. Treat it as damage control. Two moving blankets and a rug in a bare room cost almost nothing and stop the echo you would otherwise spend an hour trying to remove.
