Standard practice for remote podcasts and interviews. Zoom, Riverside, SquadCast and the rest carry the conversation so people can hear each other, while each end records a clean local file from its own microphone at full quality. Line the files up in the edit with a clap at the top or by matching waveforms. Always keep the call recording as backup, because the failure that actually happens is a guest forgetting to press record. Over a long session, variable frame rate video and clocks running at marginally different speeds can pull tracks apart, so check sync at the end as well as the beginning.
