Filming & Production

Wardrobe

Also called: costume, outfit continuity

Two separate problems live under one word. The first is continuity. Anything shot across more than one day has to cut together as though it happened in an afternoon, so the same top, the same jewellery and roughly the same hair. A photo of yourself at the end of day one is the cheapest insurance available.

The second is technical. Fine stripes and tight checks can shimmer on camera, pure white blows out under a bright key, and green is a poor choice in front of a green screen.
