Studio runs two automated passes while you fill in the rest of a video's details: a copyright scan against Content ID, and an ad-suitability check against the advertiser-friendly guidelines. For enrolled creators, likeness detection runs here as well.
Both carry on in the background if you leave the page. A copyright result gives you a chance to trim or replace the claimed section before anybody sees the video, and an ad-suitability flag can be sent for human review. You may publish while checks are still running, though waiting for a clean result costs less than pulling a claimed video down an hour after launch.
