Extreme close-up

Also called: ECU

Beyond the standard close-up, which frames a face, an extreme close-up shows a fragment. Everything round it is gone. Repair, cooking and craft channels live on the shot, because it resolves detail no wider frame can, and it forces feeling by leaving nowhere else to look. Cut to it from something wider so the viewer already knows where they are.
