Google Analytics
Also called: GA4
YouTube Analytics stops at the edge of YouTube. Once a viewer clicks a link in your description and lands on your site, what happens next lives in Google Analytics: which pages they saw, whether they signed up, how much they spent. GA4 replaced Universal Analytics, which stopped processing data in July 2023, and it works on an event model where everything is an event with parameters rather than the older sessions and pageviews. Tag your description links with UTM parameters or GA4 files the lot under one generic YouTube referral and you lose any way of telling which video sent the people who converted.
