Hyperlapse

A normal time-lapse sits on a tripod. A hyperlapse walks: you move the camera a set distance between each frame, keep a fixed point in the middle, and the result is a rushing tracking shot covering ground no dolly could.

By hand it means hundreds of stills, the same step each time, then aligning and stabilising in post. Phones do a rough version in one pass, which is plenty for a b-roll cutaway.
