Monetisation & Revenue

Monetisation Threshold

Also called: YPP threshold, 1000 subscribers 4000 watch hours, eligibility threshold

The lower tier needs 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the previous 90 days, and either 3,000 public long-form watch hours in the past year or 3 million public Shorts views in 90 days. It unlocks fan funding and commerce features such as channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks and Shopping, with no share of ad revenue.

Ad revenue starts at the second tier: 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 public long-form watch hours in the last 365 days or 10 million Shorts views in the last 90 days. Only public long-form and live watch time counts towards those hours. Shorts watch time does not, and neither does time on unlisted, private or deleted videos.
