Monetization Tab
Also called: earn tab, studio monetization
The Monetization tab lives in the left menu of YouTube Studio under the label Earn. Before a channel qualifies it shows progress towards the Partner Program thresholds. After acceptance it becomes the control panel for the separate modules: ads, channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Thanks, Shopping and the Premium revenue share, along with which ad formats you allow on each video.
Access arrives in stages. The 500 subscriber entry tier opens the fan funding and commerce features and carries no share of ad revenue, so a channel can be sitting inside the tab, earning money, with no adverts running anywhere on it.
