Text on screen does work that speech cannot. A figure, a name or a date lands faster read than heard, a line in the corner adds a second voice commenting on the first, and a caption saves a reshoot when you get something wrong. Keep it legible: big enough for a phone, on screen long enough to read twice, and clear of the bottom strip where the progress bar and the Shorts interface sit. This is separate from subtitles, which carry the spoken words verbatim for accessibility.
