Post-Roll Ad

Also called: postroll, end ad

Post-roll ads run once the video's content has finished. They are one of the placements a monetised creator can switch on for a long-form upload, alongside the ad before the video starts and the breaks inside it.

The audience for a post-roll is whoever is still there at the end, so it is the least intrusive of the three and the least likely to cost you a viewer mid-video. There is no reason to switch it off. Mid-roll is the placement that repays actual thought, because where a break lands changes what the viewer experiences.
