RTMP ingest

Also called: RTMP, stream URL, ingest server

Set up a stream in Studio and you get two strings: an ingest server address beginning rtmp, and a stream key. Your encoder, whether that is OBS, vMix or a hardware box, connects to the first and authenticates with the second.

Treat the stream key as a password. Anybody holding it can broadcast to your channel, so it stays out of screenshots and tutorial recordings, and you reset it the moment you suspect a leak. Two other things bite people: upload bandwidth needs real headroom above the bitrate you picked, and cable drops out far less often than wi-fi across a 2-hour broadcast.
