Safety take
Also called: safety, one for safety
You got the take, so do one more anyway. A safety take costs 90 seconds on the day and saves a reshoot when the edit reveals a boom shadow, a focus drift, a plane overhead or a line that no longer works next to the shot before it.
Practised crews do this by reflex. Solo creators rarely bother, because on your own there is nobody to say go again. Build it into the routine rather than the judgement: every setup gets a second clean pass before the camera moves.
