Watch party

Also called: co-watch, group watch

The idea is shared viewing. Everyone hits the same moment together and reacts in chat, which turns a solo watch into an event. Twitch, Discord and several streaming services run features built for exactly this. YouTube's nearest equivalent for your own work is a Premiere, which schedules an uploaded video to play once as a live moment with chat attached. Watch parties built around somebody else's material carry a copyright problem that people underestimate. Playing a film or another creator's video to an audience counts as a public performance, and owning a copy grants you no right to do it.
