Twitch
Spun out of Justin.tv in 2011 and bought by Amazon in 2014. The whole design assumes long continuous streams, chat as the main event, and recurring subscriptions rather than one-off payments, with Amazon Prime including a free monthly subscription that members can hand to a streamer. Gaming is the root, with the just chatting and IRL categories sitting alongside it. Creators who stream on both platforms tend to weigh Twitch's live discovery and community habits against YouTube keeping the archive searchable and recommendable long after the stream ends. Platform exclusivity deals were a feature of the late 2010s and have largely faded.
