Channel growth rate

Also called: growth rate, subscriber growth rate

Percentages let you compare periods of different sizes, and compare yourself with channels at another scale. Ten thousand new subscribers is a 100 per cent month for a channel at ten thousand and a rounding error for one at five million. Pick one metric and one window, then hold both steady. Switching between 28 days and 90 days, or between subscribers and views, produces numbers that look like progress or collapse when nothing has changed. Growth rate on a small base is volatile enough to be close to meaningless week to week. That is why most people track it monthly.
