Channel pages traffic

Also called: channel page traffic, channel pages

In the traffic sources report, Channel pages covers views that began on your channel instead of in a feed, in search or in suggested. Someone opened the channel, looked around, and pressed play.

It is one of the few sources whose surface you control outright, because your layout decides what a visitor sees first: the trailer, the featured section, the playlists and the order uploads sit in. A jump here usually follows something that sent people to look you up, a podcast appearance or a mention elsewhere, so read it as a sign of off-platform interest before you read it as a change inside YouTube.
