The headline figure, Ra, is an average across eight pastel test samples. That averaging is the weakness, because it says nothing about deep red, which is measured separately as R9 and is the sample that matters most for skin tones. A panel can advertise a strong Ra and still leave faces looking grey and lifeless, which is the usual complaint about cheap LED lights. TLCI is a related score from the EBU that models a camera's response instead of the human eye, so it describes what you will actually record. Manufacturer figures are self-reported and test conditions vary, so treat a number on a box as a claim.
