Editorial use only is the licence tier stock libraries attach to material they hold no commercial release for: recognisable people, branded products, logos, event footage. You can use it to report on or comment about the subject. Selling, promoting or endorsing is out.

Creators trip over this. A YouTube video carrying ads can count as commercial use even when the video is a review, and a thumbnail is commercial almost by definition. The library will not warn you, and the rights holder is the one who comes asking.
