Final Cut Pro
Also called: Final Cut, FCP, FCPX
Clips attach to a primary storyline and shuffle to make room, which removes accidental gaps and sync drift. It takes a while to get used to if you came from Premiere or Resolve. It runs very well on Apple silicon, which is a large part of why it holds its following among people cutting long-form on a laptop. The catch arrives the moment you work with anyone else. Projects transfer badly to other editors, and there is no Windows version.
