Grading node

DaVinci Resolve's colour page works this way instead of stacking effects in a list. Each node does one job, a balance correction here, a window isolating a face there, and the chain runs left to right, so changing the order changes the result. Serial nodes pass the full image along in sequence. Parallel and layer nodes split the image, treat parts of it separately, then recombine. Keeping nodes small and labelled is what makes a grade fixable a week later, because you can disable one and see exactly what it was doing. Piling every adjustment into a single node works right up until you need to undo one of them.
