Warp Stabilizer
Also called: warp stabiliser, post stabilisation
Applied in Premiere Pro or After Effects, it studies the footage in one pass, works out how the frame moved, then rebuilds a steadier version. Smoothness controls how much correction gets applied, and the method setting decides how far it goes, from position only up to subspace warp, which bends parts of the frame independently.
Two costs come with it. The effect crops in to hide the edges it is inventing, so you lose framing, and on rolling shutter footage from a phone or a mirrorless camera it can produce a rippling wobble in straight lines. Shoot steadier and use less of it.
