The kit is a phone or camera, a bonded mobile connection or a backpack encoder, a wind-resistant microphone and a great deal of battery. Content ranges from travel and food to events and simply walking somewhere while talking to chat.
Two problems dominate. Connection quality decides everything, so streamers bond several SIM cards and pick a bitrate low enough to survive a bad street. And filming in public brings in people who did not agree to be filmed, local rules about recording, and the safety question of broadcasting your location live. Experienced streamers delay the feed and stay vague about where they are heading next.
