Problem-Agitate-Solve

Also called: PAS, problem agitate solution

PAS runs in order. State a problem the audience recognises, dwell on what it costs to leave it alone, then deliver the solution. Direct-response copywriters have used it for decades, because the agitate beat is what turns mild recognition into a reason to keep watching. On YouTube it shows up as the opening minute of a tutorial or a review, built around whatever the viewer typed into search. It fails when the middle beat runs long or feels invented, and a viewer who senses manufactured discomfort reads the solution as a sales pitch.
