Standard YouTube License

Every upload carries a licence, and unless you change it in the advanced settings it carries this one. It reserves your rights, so nobody else may reuse the footage, while granting YouTube what it needs to host and stream the video. There are only 2 options on that menu. The other is Creative Commons Attribution, which lets other creators reuse your video with credit. Choosing Standard adds no protection of its own, since copyright exists in your footage from the moment you shoot it and the setting simply declines to give any of it away.
