Stream overlay

Overlays are assembled in your broadcasting software rather than on YouTube, usually as browser sources in OBS or Streamlabs pulling live data from a third-party service. A typical set runs to a starting soon screen, a webcam frame, alerts for new members and Super Chats, and a progress bar towards some target. The common mistake is filling the frame. Every element shrinks whatever people came to watch, and on a phone a busy overlay turns into noise before any of the text becomes readable.
