Stream sniping

A stream sniper joins the same match as a broadcaster and plays with the stream open on a second screen, reading position, health and inventory straight off the feed. Most competitive games treat it as cheating and will ban for it, and most streamers defend against it with a broadcast delay of a minute or two, hidden queue times, or by turning off the in-game name display. It shades into harassment when someone joins purely to wreck the broadcast rather than to win. Two behaviours get confused with it: viewers joining public lobbies for the fun of it, and clip-hunters watching for content.
