Talking points sit between a full script and making it up on the spot. Each line is one beat you need to hit, written short enough to take in at a glance from behind the camera.

The trade is fluency against freshness. A script is tighter and rarely wanders, and it sounds read unless you are good at reading. Prompts keep your voice sounding like your voice, at the cost of longer takes and more work in the edit.
