Planning, Scripting & Ideas
Word-for-word script
Also called: full script, fully scripted, tight script
Everything is on the page: the hook, the transitions, the exact phrasing of anything technical, all decided before the camera goes on. It buys tightness, because you can cut a sentence in a document instead of in a timeline, and it makes a video far easier to hand to an editor or translate. What it costs is delivery. Reading is audible, and most people flatten out following a script line by line, which is why teleprompter work is a separate skill worth practising.
