Sellers list a product catalogue inside TikTok, and creators join an affiliate marketplace where they can tag those products in videos and live streams for a cut of any resulting sale. Checkout happens in the app, so the viewer never lands on an outside website. TikTok deducts the commission from the seller's payout automatically, and availability, fees and eligibility all differ by country and change often. Commission is set per product or negotiated per creator. Any single percentage quoted online describes one seller's arrangement and should never be treated as the going rate.
