Video removal

Also called: video taken down, removed video

Removal and a strike are separate outcomes, and people conflate them constantly. A video can come down after a copyright owner's takedown request, after a policy review, or because you took it down yourself, and those routes do not all attach a strike to the channel record. The practical consequences are the same either way. The URL dies, so every link and embed pointing at it breaks, and any watch time it accumulated stops counting towards Partner Program thresholds once the video is no longer public. Keep a local master of everything you publish. You cannot pull a video back off the platform once it has gone.
