A stream ends and the recording stays, sitting in the video list like a normal upload. It keeps the title, thumbnail and description the stream carried, and all three can be changed afterwards, which matters because a title written for people already waiting rarely suits someone finding it cold six weeks later. Very long broadcasts hit a recording length cap, so a marathon may not be kept whole.
