View botting
Also called: bot views, fake views, view bots
Bought views come from scripts and server farms, and platforms spot the pattern easily because the behaviour looks nothing like real viewing: almost no watch time, no engagement, impossible geography, arrivals in bursts. YouTube removes them, and bot views are excluded from Shorts monetisation entirely. Keep three ideas separate. View botting is the act. Fake subscribers are a different purchase with the same logic behind it. Invalid traffic is the platform's own label for what it discounts, and it can catch honest mistakes too. The lasting damage sits in your analytics, which stop describing anything real.
