AI citation

Also called: LLM citation, AI source link, AI mention

An AI citation is a mention of your page, channel or brand inside a generated answer, with or without a clickable link. A citation can send very little traffic and still do the work, because the reader already has what they came for and now associates the answer with your name.

Two things decide whether you get cited. The crawler has to read the page without running JavaScript, and the page has to state a clear, quotable answer near the top. Client-rendered apps are frequently invisible here even when they rank well in ordinary search.
