Binge viewing
Also called: binge watching, binge session
Someone arrives on a video, finishes it, and carries straight on to two or three more from the same channel without leaving the sofa. Creators build for it with playlists, numbered series and end screens that point at one obvious next watch. Studio does not report binges. You infer them from returning viewers and from views per viewer over a period, and it is worth designing for, because a viewer in that state has already made the decision that everything else on the channel is trying to win. They made that decision minutes ago.
