Everything you do as a creator happens here rather than on the main site: publishing, the analytics tabs, the comment queue, your copyright claims, monetisation setup, permissions for anybody helping you, and the editor for trimming a video that is already live.

Two things trip people up. The mobile app is a cut-down version, fine for comments and a glance at the numbers but missing most of what the desktop version does. And the overview screen is only the summary layer, with everything useful sitting behind Advanced mode.
