Chat bot
Also called: Nightbot, mod bot, stream bot
Most creators end up running Nightbot, StreamElements or Moobot. Granted moderator status on a channel, a chat bot filters links and banned words, times out repeat offenders, and answers typed commands such as a schedule or a gear list so the host is not reciting the same answer every twenty minutes. It can also drip scheduled messages into a quiet chat. What it cannot do is judgement. A bot catches strings and patterns, and a human moderator catches the person who is being unpleasant without ever typing a word on the list.
