Content Pillars

Also called: content buckets, pillars, content themes, content categories

Pillars are the three or four subjects everything on the channel belongs to. A camera channel might run gear reviews, shooting technique and the business of freelancing. Each video sits under one of them. The point is repetition: a viewer who liked one gear review has an obvious next thing to watch, while a channel that covers a subject once and never returns to it gives nobody a reason to subscribe. Most channels have pillars whether anyone named them or not, so the useful exercise is listing your last thirty videos and seeing what they actually cluster into before deciding which clusters to keep.
