Monetisation & Revenue

Creator Fund

Also called: creator funds, platform fund

The arithmetic is what defines it. Because the total is fixed and each creator takes a share based on views, more participants means less per view for everybody, and a good month for the platform does not raise the pot. That is the difference from a true revenue share, where earnings track the advertising money a creator's own work generated. TikTok's original Creator Fund became the standard cautionary example and was retired in its main markets in favour of a performance-based programme. Any fund with a fixed number attached behaves the same way over time.
