Policy, Copyright & Compliance
Digital Services Act
Also called: DSA
The DSA places obligations on online platforms operating in the European Union, whether or not the company is based there. For creators the visible parts are procedural. A platform has to give a reason when it removes or restricts something, offer an internal complaint route, let a user take the dispute to an out-of-court body, and publish transparency reports on its moderation. The largest platforms carry extra duties, including risk assessments and public ad repositories anyone can search. None of this changes what is allowed on a platform. It changes what the platform owes you when it acts against your account.
