Dropshipping
Also called: drop shipping
You list a product, a customer buys it, and the supplier posts it to them. No warehouse, no money tied up in stock, and no control over what actually arrives. For creators it looks like the easiest merchandise route available, which is one reason it gets pitched so hard in the make-money-online corner of YouTube. The costs are moved rather than removed. Margins are thin because the supplier takes their cut first, delivery can run to weeks, and every complaint about a damaged item lands with you, because your name is above the shop. Audience trust is the asset being spent, and it costs far more to rebuild than a storefront.
