Fact-checking a script means going through it line by line and asking where each number, date and attribution came from. Anything traced to a listicle or another video is unchecked. Find the primary source or cut the claim. Doing this before the shoot is what makes it cheap: a wrong figure caught at the script stage is a one-word edit, and the same figure caught after publishing is a pinned correction, a community note or a re-upload that loses the video's history. Public corrections cost more than the 15 minutes checking would have taken.
