Monetisation & Revenue

Google Payments Profile

Also called: payments profile, payments centre

Ad revenue reaches you through AdSense for YouTube, and the payments profile is the record underneath that says who gets paid. It carries the payee name and postal address, the tax forms Google is required to collect from every monetised creator wherever they live, and the bank details the money lands in. Google verifies the address by post. A PIN arrives in 3 to 4 weeks and has to be entered before anything pays out. The payee name has to match your bank account or the transfer fails, and changing that name means submitting your tax information again. One profile belongs to one Google Account, so handing a channel to a company or a new owner is a payments job before it is a YouTube one.
