Community post
Also called: post, channel post
Posts let a channel say something without publishing a video: an update, a poll, a quiz, an image, a clip, a question for the audience. They live on the channel's Posts tab and can also surface in the subscription feed and on Home, which is how they reach people who never open your channel page.
Two details catch creators out. Posts made community-only stay inside the community experience and never appear on the public Posts tab. They can still show up in feeds. And a channel set as made for kids cannot post at all. Used properly it is a cheap way to stay present between uploads, which matters most during a long production gap.
