Greenlight
Also called: green-light, greenlit, approve an idea
Borrowed from film commissioning, where the greenlight releases the budget. On a channel it is the decision that an idea gets a slot, a date and your time while everything else in the list stays where it is.
Having an explicit approval step is what stops a backlog turning into a graveyard. Ideas nobody rejected and nobody started pile up and make the next decision harder. Say yes to a small number with dates attached, then let the remainder sit as raw material or kill them outright and clear the list.
