Key moments for audience retention

Also called: key moments, top moments

Open a video's audience retention chart in Studio and the line arrives annotated. Intro reports how much of the audience was still there at the end of the opening. Top moments mark stretches where almost nobody left. Spikes flag points viewers rewatched or jumped to, and dips flag points where they skipped ahead or gave up. The labels save you squinting at a graph and guessing where to look. What they cannot tell you is why. A dip marks the place viewers left, and the cause can sit anywhere before it, so treat the annotation as an instruction to watch your own video back from a few minutes earlier.
