Parody
Parody comments on the work it borrows from. That is the line courts care about, and it separates parody from satire, which uses somebody else's work to make a point about something else entirely and attracts thinner protection as a result.
UK law has had an express exception since 2014, covering fair dealing for caricature, parody or pastiche. The United States handles the same ground inside fair use. Either way the dealing has to be fair, judged on how much you took and what your version does to the market for the original.
None of this reaches Content ID, which matches audio and video with no view on why you used it. A lawful parody can still be claimed.
