Response video

Also called: callout video, clapback

Responses travel because they borrow an existing audience and an existing argument, which is why they often outperform a creator's normal output in the short term. That is also the problem. The views arrive attached to someone else's topic, so the new subscribers came for the fight, and they leave when the fight does. Search on the original topic keeps sending traffic long after anybody cares.

If you make one, decide first whether you want the audience it brings, and keep correcting a factual claim separate from going after a person. The second kind escalates and rarely ends where you planned.
